Investigation of quartz-alunite epithermal gold deposits using PRISMA satellite imagery: examples from Goldfield, Nevada, USA and Rodalquilar, Spain

The PRISMA (Hyperspectral Precursor of the Application Mission) satellite Italian Space Agency (ASI) is in orbit since March 2019. hyperspectral data have found applications many disciplines including environmental monitoring, agriculture, forest and grassland mapping, land use cover hydrology, geology, glaciology. In this study imagery are evaluated for characterization surface outcrop quartz-alunite epithermal gold deposits occurring at Goldfield Nevada, USA Rodalquilar southeastern Spain. Nevada has an arid to semiarid climate, whereas occurs a region associated with extensive alteration zones.
